Rack à squat IRONAX XP1

The rack itself is awesome. I have no complaints about that.
I wish that Ironax would start making some modular components for this rack. It’s a 2x2 post with 1” holes, whereas their XPX model is 2.3x2.3 and 5/8” holes. So none of the accessories can crossover.

The XPX model is double the price and wasn’t in my budget range at that time. But it has so many modular pieces to be added on that I now wish I had bought it instead. Lever arms, functional trainer, etc. I don’t see why Ironax couldn’t add some more modular pieces to the XP1 range, so I could built out my rack a bit. Instead, I have to find pieces from other companies with the same post and hole dimensions.

Ironax: you’re missing out on my money!

Assembly was easy. Will be able to set up by yourself, it was easier with help. Rack is steady for pull-ups. Wobbles a bit and the removeable rack for deadlifts shake a bit. This might be fixed by adding some plates or weight on the holders/base. Height is good as allows for comfortable dead hang with the multiple grips on the pull-up bar. I'm 5'7" 160lbs and would recommend to anyone in that same range

I live in a condo and found this to be a great size. It's straight forward to set up and very sturdy. The pull up bar is a great added bonus and you can also buy attachments (e.g. for lat pull downs) which makes it very versatile. It's well built and affordable, highly recommend it.

14 gauge steel, super solid, stable and easy to assemble. The safety arms are better than all others in this price category.

The only improvement that could be made are the J-cups. The boxy design gives me more confidence in them, but only the bottom has the rubber material on it. Would like to see it on all three sides.

Very pleased I didn't wait for the pr-1100 to be in stock. This is the better rack IMO.

This thing is awesome! Exactly what I was looking for, it's a little lighter weight than a commercial model but no less functional. I wasn't able to find a used one for this price. If you are looking for a no frills home gym power rack you can't go wrong with this one. I would buy it again.

The tools they provided were a little hard to use, but the squat rack itself is good. It's a good rack at an affordable price.

Easy for one “tall” person to put together alone. Boxes were very beat up when I received the package but this had no impact to the rack. I recommend this squat rack for purchase

Got this from Kurtis (his my favorite staff there but I must say all of them are friendly and helpful) at the Mississauga store at a great price and value. The rack is easy to assemble if you have done Ikea furniture builds before. Just make sure you are careful since this is a metal power rack and therefore heavier than Ikea faux-wood parts. The rack looks great but more importantly feels safe and great for my space as well. Now I can do heavier presses (bench or squats) without a human spotter and still be safe. Add the peg plates to it and you will save space and make the rack more stable. 45s and 25s at the bottom pegs and the 15s, 10s, 5s and 2.5s on the add on pegs.
The set up fits in the first half of my office area. Thus, after work or lunch time, I can safely work out on site.

Have had this for 8 months now and it's awesome! Very sturdy (with plates on the one end, on its own, not so much). Squatting > 400lbs with no issues, heavy weighted pullups (100lb+) also without any difficulties. Strongly recommend, especially at this price!
