Overall, I give it four stars, 10/10 for the rack, but the 8/10 for delivery and assembling experience.
But do not think I don't recommend it. It is just great. I'm very satisfied with the product once assembled and it does what it is supposed to do.
I ordered the XP1 and lat-pulldown add-on per Internet and received it about one week later. Meanwhile, I was never able to track down the package, I was supposed to receive a tracking number which I never received, despite writing emails and calling customer service.
The boxes were all damaged on arrival and the Fedex guy took photos of them with me should I have any problems or should I need to reclaim something. But even though the boxes were damaged, everything was ok in it and carefully well packed with bubble wrap and, most of all, nothing was missing. I can live with that.
It took me about 3 hours to assemble everything by myself and to be honest, it is not complicated (careful putting the right bolts at the right places, especially on the base, you'll see the different bolts). Both instructions sheet (it's a sheet...) are way too basic and give very poor details (explaining my 4 stars): you got to understand basics of building something by yourself and look at the differences with the bolts to built this. Overall, it is easy, take your time, you got this. The lat pulldown add-on requires more time and concentration, but I managed to install it partly with the sheet instructions, but I needed the photos on the website as well.
BTW, get a wrench, the weird metal tools they give you to put the bolts on with it are not usefu, that's a 2/10 for that one.
Once being assembled, everything is more than ok, it's great, that's where you get a 10/10. This power rack is strongly built, doesn't move and is very good investment for what it costs. I installed the dip add-ons as well (does not move too) and its perfect for my basement and gym needs. I"m not a pro, I bench 240 lbs on it, doesn't flinch. I don't know what more I could say.
Recommandations :
1. Not completely under the control of Treadmill Factory, but better packaging with the cardboards or a notice to Fedex "CAREFUL"....
2. They should really try to offer a clearer or more detailed assembling manual or sheet, especially for the lat pulldown add-on.
3. A "How to install" video would be nice...again especially the lat pulldown add-on ;)
4. Get a wrench to install this. That is not negotiable.
Most important in this review :
5. You need a strong power rack? a great lat-pulldown add-on? I recommend you the XP1.
It is what it is.
