IRONAX XFT Functional Trainer

Love this machine ! Amazing service from Kyle .. we are in PEI and he was able to have it shipped within 6 days of ordering it! The unit fits perfectly in a corner of our gym and now I can train with cables vs bands all summer … cables are very smooth with lots and lots of weight ! Ordered the row footplate which works perfectly to stabilize and get more of a pull. Very happy with the attachments and quality. Excited to train with it !

Great product, smooth and well built!

I cross shopped a few different functional trainers in this price range (Inspire, Element) and after seeing them all in person, I settled on the Ironax. Key factors for me were the 200lb stacks (at no extra charge), 2x2 rail vs 3x3 gives me more options for accessories, 11 gauge vs. 14/16 for others, and aluminum pulleys. The unit feels solidly built and sturdy. Only downside I could see is that the the paint/finish isn't as surable as something like the Element so it will likely scratch easier, but that doesn't really bother me.

First off, customer service representative Kyle Dow was fantastic. Assisted with questions regarding shipping to East Coast and very helpful and professional. Delivery was 1 week. Contents packaged very well. Arrived in perfect condition. Few hours to assemble with help from 15 year old daughter. Aluminun pulley system and bearings as smooth as butter. Excellent for home gym, better than most commercial trainers I've used. If I could give 6 stars I would, don't hesitate and be fooled by other systems. Great piece of equipment for any home gym. High quality, assembly was pretty straight forward had it together in about an hour. Recommend 2 people for assembly make it easier. Customer service was great. If you have a basement gym you'll be carrying down in pieces as the shipping pallet is very large. Doesn't take up a huge area either once assembled

Seamless transaction from purchase to shipping. Arrived exactly when expected and in perfect condition. Assembly was straightforward. Been using a few weeks now and we couldn’t be happier! Silky smooth, solid high quality machine! Every bit as good as equipment at the gym! Best purchase, no regrets!

My first major purchase for a home gym, overall very impressed with it, however, a few things to address.

Cons:
- A few marks, spots, scratches and chips on the machine that is annoying to look at. When spending a few thousand dollars you'd hope this would've been caught in QA
- Instructions are light on the information. Which way do the weights go on the stack, with the plastic piece only on one side, face up or down?
- Some tips on putting the weight on the poles would be nice, felt a bit sketchy loading 200lbs at 10 at a time with the poles tilted
- The clips for attachments are a little annoying with the screw to close or open, doesn't really stay in place sometimes

Pros:
- Incredibly smooth pulley system
- Once put together it looks awesome, feels awesome, and the 200lb stacks is above the normal 160lbs you see on other machines
- It was nice that each tower was mostly assembled already, making it easier to finish the assembly
- The included attachments are awesome, the options to add attachments into the bars is pretty awesome as well

Overall for $70 in shipping and the machine, I would highly recommend. I'd give 5 stars depending on the manufacturer's response to some of the defects I pointed out.

My Ironax was shipped promptly along with a BodySolid hack/squat machine. They arrived in perfect condition and the packing was exceptional - no damage. Definite shout out to the shipping team. I unpacked both machines and moved them to my basement gym (sorry GarageGym Review dude). That was a workout in itself.

I'm no mechanical genius but the instructions were straightforward and assembly was easy. I can't say enough about the quality. Welds were excellent, the components robust and the pulleys were buttery smooth. I ordered the foot plate and the half rack kit. Again, all were high quality. I am struggling to find a negative with the unit. I didn't like using the half rack attachment for bench press but it works great for me for shoulder presses. Others may feel differently. I spent way too much time looking at other functional trainers but decided on this Ironax and am glad I did. I will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone for home use.

Excellent quality, easy to setup on your own. The packaging was VERY well done, i live in a building and had to unpack the box in the loading bay to bring it up the elevator but was east as 1,2,3. I thought it would be more difficult to bring in but honestly wasn't that bad. My only thing that wants me to give this a 4 star is the way the cable is held into the handle. two set screws for 200lbs... I'm sure its fine but I would have liked to see a better design because while using i feel like I'm always watching the cables waiting for them to slip out or eventually wear out the cables. i can think of a 100 better ways to design the cable termination for more peace of mind. I did have an issue with the delivery company service but that's at no fault of the machine or the treadmill factory

I haven’t been able to use the equipment yet. It seems to have pieces missing. The step after racking the weights is a little unclear. You need to run the cable and attach it to the handle. You can see where the cable needs to go but there is nothing there to hold it in place.

Awesome machine, smooth as silk pulleys and a beautiful design, love it. Smoother than the commercial gym pulleys that I have used.

I'm glad I picked this over the Bells of Steel functional trainer, overall this feels more solid and it comes with 200lb weight stacks! No wonder this is always out of stock!

I've had this functional trainer for a few months now, and I'm in love with it! Solid build with great additional attachments: row plate, lat bench, and half rack (which I have all of). Better buy than Reps equivalent functional trainer. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

Comes mostly together in a giant crate that is well packaged. Doesn't take too long to put together. Highly recommend!

Equipment came in solid wooden box/crate. Shipping was really quick and gave me update on when it will show up at my house and driver gave me 30min notice prior to coming. Equipment was almost pre-assembled. All it needed was to install the middle pieces and weights. Took less than 1 hr.

Functional is really well built and smooth. I find it much smoother than regular commercial gyms' functional trainer. Additional attachments are nice touch. You can't go wrong with the price you pay for this kind of quality product.

This thing is stacked. Two 200 lbs steel stacks, Very smooth cables, Aluminium pulleys, stainless steel solums and great options. Looked at others including Inspire, Rogue and REP, none of them come close to the quality vs price compared to this functional. Super Happy with the purchase. Sales rep also said IRONAX is coming out with even more unique accessories. Can't wait to see what else is in the works for my functional.

I was a bit nervous about buying this machine as it was a brand spanking new model and they only had it on the floor for a few days. Very happy I did though, Ironax did a great job with this functional trainer. Everything feels and looks high quality and the cable movement is super smooth. I also bought the Lat-pulldown bench attachment and the foot plate attachment, I couldn’t be happier that they had those options and at a reasonable price. It was easy to put together, took me about an hour. Just be aware that it is packaged In one large crate.

Very easy to put together as it comes almost complete. Packaging is literally a wooden crate, not easy to move around but great protection of the functional trainer. Once assembled, extremely smooth and amazing quality. Love the aluminum pulley's as well as the options that IronAx has coming out (salesman in Markham location shared some pictures). Overall, super satisfied with the IronAx functional and would recommend it to others in a heartbeat.
