The Wavemaster is the original freestanding heavy bag, excellent for developing kicks, punches, and strikes. Constructed of high-density foam, the Wavemaster has a rounded base that is easily relocated without the need of permanent fixtures. The base can be filled with sand or water.
We use these at my dojo. The thickness of the padding is good (even for adults). The height adjustment is very good and easy to use. They really last. In my dojo I get about five years out of a bag before the top needs replacing. I recommend jointing sand for the base. It has good density and flows well into the base. Play sand sticks in the funnel.

Looks better than if feels
I'm surprised to see (from the bottom) that inside of the punching bag is basically just a dozen noodles wrapped together in exterior cover. I remember creating a smaller version of this using a bunch of leftover old swimming noodles previously and didn't realize that's how an expensive punching bag is designed the same way. The bag slides around even after filled with water in my basement, so now I have to look for mats that can create more friction to prevent the base from sliding around. Overall I really wouldn't recommend this to others.
