Chin-ups are arguably the best upper body resistance exercise around. There is no other exercise that can replace its functional value; and no, the lat pull down is a not a suitable replacement. Not only do chins build the back and biceps, the abdominals, chest and grip get a workout as well.
A chin-up bar in a gym is also a highly useful fixture, given that it can also be used as an anchor for rings, bands or a TRX.
The XM Chin Up Bar itself is bolted flush to the support brackets so there is no play or movement, just a solid fixture that will take any weight up to 400kg!

I purchased this chin up bar for a attic renovation project. It is very well built and I like all the various hand holds to work the muscles from a different perspective. I couldn't do the ceiling mount so I cut the vertical brackets, drilled a half inch hole in each one and bolted it to the rafters - the roof will come down before the bar does. Very pleased with the quality and it arrived to my door in a matter of days.
Had this bike for 2 weeks now...love it. Makes for some very challenging workouts. Built very well, easy setup. Lot's of people complaining about the seat comfort and I agree. Will be looking for a gel cover to fix this issue. Also, great service from "The Treadmill Factory". Would buy from them again.
