Body-Solid GLCE365 Seated Leg Extension / Supine Leg Curl

I have long legs and have had a hard time finding a machine that would accommodate this. This extension/curl machine is very adjustable and is comfortable to use supine or prone with padding in all the right places. It is very solidly built and takes about 90 minutes to assemble. All the holes line up and everything fits unlike some cheap benches. This is heavy duty (light commercial) and should stand up well to my home gym use. It does need an adapter collar to use Olympic weights, but the good news is those fit without scraping the floor. I had a set of cast iron weights just for my previous bench, because Olympic weights were too big and hit the floor.

Many pieces arrived scratched, but there was no functional damage or rips so I did not return it. Very solid. You can use one leg at a time and there is ZERO tilting. VERY High quality bearing joint. Naturally, plate loaded leg ext/curl becomes weightless at the top of the motion with lighter weight, but this problem goes away when you load on heavier weight. 10/10 for leg extensions. 8/10 for leg curls. Cable ham curl machine is naturally better as the top of the motion has a longer range of motion at the top. Also, be sure to remove the screw stopper and throw it in the trash. Replace it with a thin piece of rubber to prevent scratching. This will increase bottom range of motion to beyond standard. Finally, throw away the end caps for the roller pads. Bring your bars to a machine shop and tell them to drill a hole in each end so you can insert trailer hitch pins to keep rollers on. The metal caps are a joke. No way that aspect is considered commercial quality.
