XM Fitness Pro Mat

This is definitely a step up from my old foam exercise mat. It cost quite a bit more money but well worth it in my opinion. It's firmer and wider than the cheaper mats, and the top textured vinyl surface is non slip. My old mat used to slide on the floor when using TRX suspension straps, the foam used on bottom of this one prevents that.

The textured tatami like material offers great traction. It has some give but not too much. Easy to clean, no weird smells.

Excellent. I use the mat in the morning to do back exercises, sit ups, push ups and neck extensions.

I bought this as mat to put in front of my storage rack and dumbbell set. The 3/4 inch foam is quite comfortable although the foam is black and not grey like it's shown in the picture. It moves easily if touched on the edges but doesn't move while walking on it (smooth concrete underneath.) I wouldn't recommend using heavy weights on it as any foam will compress over time. One annoyance was that it did not come packed in any sort of wrapping when I picked it up in Markham and was dirty from being put on the warehouse floor.
